2018 Jones Winery & Vineyard Fiano



Tasting Notes

A delightfully aromatic, lightly flavoured wine with a crisp, mineral acid finish.  This wine has notes of white peach and nutmeg with a lingering savouriness.

Winemaking Notes

Made from our estate grown fruit, after handpicking on February 13th February 2018, the grapes were whole bunch crushed then pressed.  The juice produced was then placed directly into older French oak barrels and the fermentation was carried out by natural yeast fermentation. The wine was aged in these barrels for 7 months with lees stirring periodically to enhance texture and complexity.  Alc. 12.6%, cellaring up to 4 years.

Food Matches

This wine is excellent with shellfish, crudites, poultry or goat cheese and a crisp mixed salad.

Drinking Tip

Drink in sparkling sunshine with friends and freshly shucked oysters.
