2016 Jones Winery & Vineyard Marsanne Roussanne
A beautifully balanced wine. Aromas of honeysuckle and spicy fruit characters. The richly textured mid-palate and delicate long fresh finish make this wine very enjoyable with many ‘difficult to match’ foods.
Made from our estate grown fruit – after handpicking both varieties on February 23rd 2016, the grapes were whole bunch crushed then pressed. The juice produced was then placed in older French oak barrels (30%) and stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine was aged for 7 months with lees stirring periodically to enhance texture and complexity. Alc. 13.8%. Cellaring up to 8 years.
This wine is very versatile, anything from asparagus to antipasto to white meat, fish and some Asian dishes. These particular varieties and the style we have produced make this wine very food friendly.
Drink in dappled sunshine with friends and a freshly caught grilled Murray Cod.
