A beautifully balanced wine. Aromas of honeysuckle and spicy fruit characters. The richly textured mid-palate and delicate long fresh finish make this wine very enjoyable with many ‘difficult to match’ foods.
Made from our estate grown fruit, after handpicking the grapes were whole bunch crushed then pressed in our basket press. The juice produced was then placed directly in older French oak barrels and the fermentation was carried out by natural yeast fermentation. The wine was aged in these barrels for 8 months with lees stirring periodically to enhance texture and complexity. Alc 12%, cellaring up to 6 years.
This wine is very versatile, anything from asparagus to antipasto to white meat and fish. This particular variety and the style we have produced make it very food friendly.
Drink in dappled sunshine with friends and a freshly caught grilled Murray Cod.
